Socks are worked cuff-down. Because the instep lace pattern is worked on every round and the number of stitches changes every round, pattern is given only in written instructions. Heel is worked by creating a heel flap and turning the heel using short row shaping. The toe is grafted together using kitchener stitch. When slipping stitches, always slip as if to purl.
